Belly Dance is a beautiful, unique and challenging art form. It is a combination of physical control, emotional clarity and spiritual awareness.
The Dance is a moving meditation that allows cleansing expression for the soul. It is an ancient expression of joy, community and life as well as a modern declaration of freedom for everyone.
With knowledge of the dance comes knowledge of ourselves. As we begin to truly understand and appreciate ourselves we begin to open our hearts. This healing process allows us to shed unwanted behaviors and negative thoughts. And so we become a clear vessel, filled with love, which in turn inspires others to their fullest potential, and the healing continues from person to person.
By creating a safe and loving environment we are able to become aware of our bodies and our emotions. Learning how we are strong individuals with the power to go within ourselves to heal. We are able to create our own moving meditations to allow for optimal relaxation and healing. The dance will take us on a journey of self-discovery through movement and breath. Through movement we find restrictions in the body relating to the mind and heart. We gently begin to remove these restrictions or negative patterns with technique, posture, positive thought and breath. Through this process we are able to work through fear, anger and sadness so we can heal physically and emotionally.
The Dance brings us back to our heart, or our center. It shows us the way back to the beautiful, unique and free being we all were meant to be.

It is our belief that the knowledge, connectedness and freedom found throughout The Dance is our path to physical strength, emotional balance, and spiritual clarity that will lead to a deeper and more profound understanding of the universe around us.
